Media Pros
Photographers and videographers who get entertainment.
A curated directory of headshot photographers, promo shooters, and EPK / sizzle reel videographers who work with performers, speakers, and musicians. We add pros that working entertainers actually rehire.
Your headshots and reel are the first thing a booker, agent, or event planner sees. A generic corporate photographer can light a face, but a photographer who shoots actors, comedians, magicians, speakers, and musicians knows how to capture persona — the thing that actually sells the gig. The same is true for video: a wedding videographer can hold a camera steady at your show, but a true EPK / sizzle reel editor knows how to cut 90 seconds that gets you booked.
The pros below specialize in entertainment work, grouped by market so you can find someone local. Use the city search on each list to jump straight to your market.

What to look for
Choosing a headshot photographer
- Entertainment portfolio. Look for a body of work shooting performers in your lane — actors, comedians, speakers, magicians, musicians. Corporate-only books read flat for stage talent.
- Direction. Good performer photographers direct. You should leave with a few expressions you could not have produced alone.
- Retouching included. Confirm how many finished, retouched files are included and what extras cost.
- Usage rights. Make sure you can use the images on your website, press kit, EPK, and socials without paying per use.
- Turnaround. Two to three weeks is standard; rush options exist if you have a deadline.
What to look for
Choosing an EPK / reel editor
- Reels in your category. A speaker reel, a stand-up set, a music EPK, and a magic promo are different crafts. Watch three recent reels in your discipline before you book.
- First 10 seconds. Bookers stop watching fast. Your editor should know how to open with the strongest beat, not the chronological one.
- Footage requirements. Ask what camera angles, audio sources, and minimum runtime they need from your live recordings.
- Rounds of revisions. Two rounds is typical. Confirm what counts as a revision vs. a re-cut.
- Deliverables. A 60–90 second sizzle, a 3–5 minute long-form reel, and vertical cuts for socials is a common package.
FAQ
Photographer & videographer questions performers ask
How much should I budget for entertainer headshots?
Most established performer photographers in major markets (LA, NY, Vegas) run $400–$1,200 for a session that includes multiple looks and a handful of retouched finals. Pay more for cinematic lighting and brand work; pay less only when the portfolio justifies it.
How often should I update my headshots?
Every 18–24 months, or sooner if your look changes meaningfully (hair, beard, weight, glasses). Bookers feel deceived showing up to a gig and meeting a different person than the headshot.
What does an EPK / sizzle reel actually cost?
Edit-only packages (you supply footage) typically run $750–$2,500 for a polished 60–90 second speaker or comedy reel. Full production with a crew on site is multiples higher. A few editors on this list publish rates publicly.
Do I need a videographer in my city?
Usually no. Most EPK and sizzle reel editors work remotely — you upload your live footage and they cut the reel. You only need someone local when they are filming you in person.
Can the same person shoot stills and video?
Some can, but the best results usually come from booking specialists. A great portrait photographer is not always a great editor, and vice versa.
